Facial Thread Vein Removal in Cheltenham

Here at CYGNINI CLINIC we can help you deal with unwanted facial thread veins & background redness using our Elite MPX Laser Workstation.

Facial thread veins can be a cause of embarrassment. Many of the more simple problems can be dealt with quickly and effectively by our lasers.

What are thread veins?

Thread veins are small veins that run just below the skins surface. They are very common in both men and women, but can be considered embarrassing or unsightly.

What causes thread veins?

As the skin ages and becomes thinner, these tiny veins simply become more visible through the skins surface. Problem thread veins can be inherited, but more usually are caused by long term sun exposure, hormonal changes, rosacea, alcohol or smoking.

How are thread veins treated?

Laser is a fantastic, non-invasive treatment for thread veins up to 3mm in size. Here at Cygnini Clinic we use our Cynosure Elite MPX Workstation to quickly and effectively treat unwanted thread veins. Short pulses of intensely concentrated laser beams are used to target the vein so that it is broken down and harmlessly absorbed back into the bodies own waste system. Each treatment takes around 25 minutes and clients usually see results after 2-3 treatments.

Will my thread vein treatment be painful?

Your thread vein treatment should not be painful. Whilst the laser uses heat to break down the vein, cool air is also used simultaneously to counter act any discomfort that could be felt. The individual pulses of the laser happen very quickly and most clients find this treatment very easy to tolerate.

Are there any risks or side effects to thread vein treatment?

As facial thread veins are usually very small, effective treatment can be achieved using low levels of laser energy making this a very safe treatment. There may be some redness and swelling following your thread vein treatment but this will usually disappear within 24-48 hours. Occasionally there can be some bruising and very rarely changes to the skins texture may occur. However all of these things can be significantly limited by a sensible approach to aftercare.

How much does thread vein treatment cost?

Prices start at £150 for your initial consultation including a test patch, if laser treatment is being recommended.

Subsequent treatment sessions will be charged at a fixed price, depending on the size of the area being treated:
